The documentary heritage of the NAS of Ukraine academician P. T. Tronko

The article describes the structure and documentary composition of the personal archival fond of the outstanding Ukrainian scientist, historian, the NAS of Ukraine academician P. T. Tronko, deposited at the Institute of Archival Studies of V. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The article analyzes P. T. Tronko's biographical documents, scientific works, documents on his activities, correspondence, photographic documents and his collected documents, which are a source base for the research of life, activities and creative heritage of the scientist. Particular attention is paid to the documents highlighting P. T. Tronko's contribution to the development of local lore movement and protection of cultural heritage in Ukraine, in particular, the activities of the scientist as a head of the Ukrainian Society for Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments and the All-Ukrainian Society of Local Studies
