Abstract
In this paper, a bandstop filter based on a newly developed resonators, known as slotted- complementary split-ring resonators (S-CSRRs) is proposed. Unlike split-ring resonators (SRRs) that respond to a vertical magnetic field, CSRRs resonate upon an excitation of an axial time-varying electric field. A parametric study on the effects of geometrical parameters of a proposed CSSR-based filter on the suppression bandwidth is conducted and compared with a classical CSRR inclusion.
