Abstract
Mucinous eccrine adenocarcinoma is one of the rare slow growing malignant adnexal tumours of skin arising from the sweat gland. It usually involves the periorbital region especially eyelids. It can also affect scalp, face and abdominal wall.It may be locally aggressive and also can metastasize to lymph nodes.Metastatic deposits from undiagnosed visceral adenocarcinomas are virtually indistinguishable microscopically and immunohistochemically from Mucinous eccrine adenocarcinoma.Hence the possibility of metastatic adenocarcinoma must be considered in the differential diagnosis of Mucinous eccrine adenocarcinoma. .
