Abstract
The current conditions for the development of healthcare throughout the world place high demands on both the professionalism of health professionals and the quality of medical care. The specificity of the healing process and care for patients with burns requires an interdisciplinary approach. The positive results from the healing process depend on the composition and professionalism of the medical team, as well as the close cooperation between its members. At the center of this team is a nurse who acts as a coordinator and an equal partner in the intensive care process.
