Abstract
One of the finite resources that has important role to have life on Earth is soil. In this current study an attempt is made to analyze physio-chemical parameters and to generate the Soil Quality Index (SQI) for Vijayawada , A.P. Soil Quality Index (SQI) is calculated using five soil attributes such as acidity (pH ), Organic Matter (OM), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K), and Electrical Conductivity (EC). Estimation of soil quality index is complicated when different soil parameters are considered. Soil physic -Chemical properties are measured by conducting different experiments at laboratory and represented in graphs. The physic- chemical analysis properties and computation of soil quality index are helpful in deciding the quality of soil such as good , Excellent, Poor and very poor or unfit.
