MALIGNANT PERIPHERAL NERVE SHEATH TUMOR OF CHEST WALL

Abstract
34 year old female was admitted with complaints of lump in the rt. mammary region since 3 years. on examination the mass was found to occupy mainly the upper and inner quadrant which is fixed to the chest wall with the skin and breast tissue can be moved freely over the swelling. clinical diagnosis of tumor arising from the chest wall was made. Incision biopsy revealed spindle cell neoplasm. hence proceeded with excision with proceed mesh covering the chest wall defect. HPE revealed low grade MPNST with tumor free margins. Medical oncologists advised only regular follow up as it is of low grade and she is under regular follow up. It is presented because of its rarity and high degree of suspicion needed for the diagnosis with complete excision giving cure.
