Biographical research as part of study Ukrainian community movement of the late nineteenth century.

The article describes the theoretical and methodological basis of the biographical researches method on the example of the analysis of the modern domestic historiography. The article notices the role of this method in the study of creative and scientifi c heritage of the Ukrainian civil movement personalities (historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, linguists and others) in the second part of the XIX century.
