Abstract
Acute appendicitis is a common clinical entity presenting as acute abdomen to a general surgeon. In its commonest presentation the features of pain in right iliac fossa, vomiting and fever exist. It is invariably a lone lesion of the abdomen and not a part of a generalized abdominal disorder. Appendicitis is a rare initial presentation in case of Tuberculosis. Here we report a case of acute appendicitis with appendix being the lone organ affected with tuberculosis with a retrospective analysis of the same in our institution in the last 3 years.
