Abstract
A 70 year old gentleman presented with complaints of abdominal pain for 15 days, fever for 7 days and abdominal distension for 4 days. Physical findings suggested features of generalized peritonitis. Roentgenogram and Ultrasonographic investigations revealed features suggestive of perforative peritonitis. Emergency exploratory laparatomy revealed two ileal perforations, 20 cm away from the ileo-caecal junction and palpable artificial dentures prosthesis of size 5x4 cm adjacent to the perforated segment was found surprisingly. Extensive peritoneal lavage followed by resection of the diseased segment was done and primary end to end anastomosis of ileal segment was performed
