Abstract

ABSTRACT Digital Video Broadcast-Terrestrial is the most extensively employed standard for terrestrial digital television (TV). The DVBT system is based on OFDM and it has the problem of high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). One way to mitigate the high PAPR of OFDM signal is by using efficient PAPR reduction techniques. In this paper, the performance evaluation of SLM and PTS techniques for PAPR reduction of OFDM signals in the DVB-T system is carried out using MATLAB simulation. The input signals applied to DVB.T system is standard image, audio, and video taken from the internet.
