Abstract
Having made generalization of the results of the analysis of domestic scientific sources, there has been clarified in the article that the problems of ethics, culture and deontology are the subject of contemporary pedagogy. Professional ethical competence is an important component of the future doctors' readiness for their professional work. Professional ethics has progressed in its development from an abstract ideal of a representative of a certain profession to the integrative education, that is ethical or professional-ethical competence, the basis of which are the ideas of humane attitude towards people, their psychological support, initiative, creativity, responsibility, personal example of behavior, well-doing, empathy, freedom of self-determination, etc. Formation of the ethical competence of future doctors takes place in the process of professional training, and the development of this competence involves clinical practice and professional development training.
