Abstract
Settlement of foreign trade is considered one of the main functions of the country. International practice says that even in industrially developed countries there is an objective need for customs regulation of the country's foreign trade activities. The state is called upon, first of all, to protect the interests of domestic producers, to take measures to increase the volume of export operations, attract foreign investments, a balanced balance of payments, currency balance, and, very importantly, to adopt legislative acts that establish rules for the implementation of foreign trade activities and control their strict observance. In the process of development, the world economy has created a rather diverse list of instruments of customs impact on export-import goods flows, which are typical for all countries of the world. In this article methods of customs regulation of foreign trade activity in the Russian Federation are considered.
