The Possibilities of Obtaining Hydrogen from Renewable Energy Sources and its Subsequent Storage

The article analyzes the possibilities of hydrogen producing by electrolysis of water using electricity derived from renewable energy sources and its storage. Possibilities of usage of hydrogen compared to other energy sources seem to be mainly favourable because of the high conversion efficiency hydrogen to electricity and minimal environmental impact. If hydrogen is produced from renewable sources and used in fuel cells, and the resulting product is only heat and water, therefore it can be concluded that hydrogen is an environmentally clean fuel.
