Abstract
The paper presents a mathematical model describing the propagation and attenuation of weak waves in a viscoelastic porous medium saturated with gas. A dispersion relation is obtained which can be used to calculate the dependence of the phase velocities and the attenuation coefficients of the "slow" and "fast" waves on the circular frequency for different values of the parameters of the porous medium.
