Abstract

The primary goal of this article is to divide the evolution of the business-model definition on stages according to its key component. The article contains the analysis of 17 definitions of business model that was given by different authors in a period from 1998 to 2015. The semantical analysis allowed to point out the basic components in every definition. Depend on this components 7 stages of the business model definition was divid- ed. There is an order of basic components: 1) intracompany flows, 2) methods of value creation and profit- making, 3) business functions, 4) managerial decisions, 5) internal activity and external relations, 6) ways of achievement of economical, social and ecological performance, 7) human capital managing. The results of the analysis affirm the changing of primary company's goals from profit-making to performance of different areas of company's activities
