Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of the functioning of sound-expressive words in fairy-tale dis- course on the material of the Korean folk tale "The sloth who turned into a cow". In the course of the study, 14 graphic words were found in this tale and their lexico-semantic analysis was carried out. As a result of the work done, the following conclusions were drawn: in Korean folk tales, a sufficiently large number of sound- expressive words is used, which, in some cases, using sounds and images reproduced in fairy tales, it is possible to restore the content of the fairy tale and visualize all the action that occurs with the heroes of the fairy tale
