Abstract

The article discusses the role of the professionally-oriented motivation in the process of learning a foreign language. It is noted that the changes in all areas of the community life activity force to rethink and introduce new teaching methods focused on independent work of students with regard to their psychological characteristics. In this context, a special role belongs to the motivation forming the professional competence on the base of experience. Stimulation of the motivation occurs by modeling professional activities and productive communication between lecturers and students. Moreover, we are talking about both students' motivation and self-motivation of lecturers who can transfer to new training methods in cooperation with the trainees. This approach includes the knowledge of the group's characteristics and individual learning techniques, specialized vocabulary for choosing relevant professional topics. Obtaining this information is based on the lecturers and students' dialogue. Taking into account the above listed, the students have been offered research and project activities in order to determine the relevance of professionally-oriented training materials. Finally, conclusions are drawn about the efficiency of these methods of work, contributing to the development of the professionally-oriented competence based on learning a foreign language.
