Abstract
For surfacing the coating on the surface of metal products, welding is usually used. This process is timeconsuming, takes a lot of time and does not allow you to simultaneously receive connections across the entire product plane. The use of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (CVS) to obtain a liquid termite alloy can be an economically feasible alternative to the production of bimetallic products. The article gives a substantiation of the technological parameters of the process of surfacing on the metal base, a layer of steel or cast iron, obtained as a result of the SHS, a thickness of more than 5 mm, a comprehensive study of the influence of the composition of the exothermic charge and its initial temperature, to study how much heat will be spent on melting of the metal filler, from with a dosage of 20, 30 and 40 % in termite, with subsequent fusion of the obtained melt on a metal basis, with qualitative indicators. The preheating of the termite charge in the temperature range 298, 473, 673, 873 K is studied, which contributes to an increase in excess heat, with the addition of a term of a greater amount of metal filler, to increase the yield of a suitable alloy, and to prevent the occurrence of the defect «Gas Sink» in the overlay.
