ROLE OF ADDITIONAL EDUCATION IN THE PROCESS OF FORMATION OF STUDENTS' READINESS TO RESEARCH WORK

Abstract
This article focuses on the definition of the role of additional education in the process of formation of students' readiness to research work. The main types of research work for future professionals in the basic education are examined. They are: academic setting of tasks for lectures, practical classes and laboratory research concerning on assessing the exploratory and experimental data; preparing students essays, term papers, theses with the description of experimental data, including critical analysis of processed scientific literature; preparation of reports of industrial, educational, pre-graduation ad other practice. The necessity of additional education in the process of formation of students' readiness to scientific research is justified. It is directed to meet the educational needs of human intellectual, spiritual and professional development and increasing of education. There are investigated the functions of additional education: educational – training of students based on the additional educational programs; educational – initiation of young people to cultural values; creative – create a flexible system for the implementation of individual creative interests; compensation – the development of students new activities that deepen and complement basic education; vocational – forming stable interest in socially relevant activities; integration – creating a single educational space of educational institution; social development – skills establishment of social relations and the development of personal qualities; the function of self-fulfillment – determination of students socially and culturally significant areas of life, personal self-development. There is examined the essence of the concept «pedagogical assistance» as a necessary condition of formation of students' readiness to scientific research in the process of additional education. It is determined that pedagogical assistance provides teacher's activities directed to expansion of knowledge of future experts in the research aspect of their profession and the creation of conditions for their capacity for research work. The basic directions of educational assistance in the process of additional education are analyzed. They are: establishing business relationships between teachers and students and professional communication during the research; research support and solving various research tasks by students; assistance in the performance of students' research and presentation the results.
