Abstract
In the process of the content of teacher training primary school in Great Britain and the USA found that: the system of training primary school teachers in Great Britain is characterized by: developed a model of professional specialist, based on the principles of: science, humanism, democracy, gradual, continuity, independence from political parties; improving the structure of the university, term and content of training elementary school teacher; awarding academic degrees; considerable variation in the content of education, which contributes to the training of primary school teachers to ecological education of students by region. Establishing differences between training programs an elementary school teacher, we can conclude that directions given preference in certain institutions: do something practical employment with students, whether the focus on mastering special knowledge or for general scientific training. Analysis of the literature of domestic and foreign authors shows that despite the variety of educational programs, individual components they are common, general scientific training - human, natural, social, physical and mathematical sciences; special training - depth study courses that form the basis of specialty; professional - general pedagogical and methodological training, which includes the study of theoretical subjects and pedagogical practices. A characteristic feature of American education is the inclusion of university teaching problems of world culture, discussions on ethical and political issues, developing and defending their own point of view. Differentiation is considered a strong point of high school US. The selection of training content carried by the thrust from the general requirements of American society - to the problems of higher education, they are - for the purposes of a certain college or some university and, further, to the overall objectives of educational programs and specific course. Universities are developing their own special courses, curriculum, textbooks. The order of study and completeness of coverage of course content is very different in different universities of the USA, what is also evident autonomy of American colleges and universities, their right to set itself specific objectives of training, which allows universities to adapt quickly to the requirements for training specialists in accordance with the directions of scientific and technical progress and changes in the economy that is constantly changing, and creative approach to finding ways to implement them. Prerogatives of universities and colleges in the United States as a result of decentralization is shaping the content of independent higher education.
