TO THE PROBLEM OF A TEACHER’S “PROFESSIONAL BURNOUT”

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of «burnout syndrome» of teachers. The author stresses that nowadays burnout syndrome includes about one hundred symptoms, such as feeling of indifference, feeling of incompetence etc. So, it is very important to clear up the problem of “burnout syndrome”, to describe its causes and give detailed information about how this syndrome displays itself. The essence and features of the concept of «professional burnout» are described in connection with the concept of emotional burnout. Burnout means the response of our organism to the chronicle stress situations. This notion includes three components: emotional and / or physical exhaustion; labor productivity reduction; depersonalization of interpersonal relations. The beginning of professional burnout of teachers is caused by the system of interrelated and complementary factors which are related to the different levels of identity: the individual psychological level; the socio-psychological level - especially the organization and interpersonal interaction teacher. The article provides the reader with some information about the prevention of burnout syndrome. Among pieces of advice there are the following ones: to get control over the perception; to learn to understand positive facts of any situation; to focus only on good events and things; to make a flexible schedule, in which there is time both for work and leisure. In order to prevent the emergence phase of emotional and physical stress it is important to use different techniques of meditation and autogenous training and exercise, which should be selected and used according to individual psychological characteristics. So, the problem of professional burnout syndrome of teachers is a vital problem to be solved by psychologists.
