Abstract
This research work is a report of the findings of a study of Information seeking pattern of Agricultural scientists working in Agricultural University of North India. A Structured questionnaire was used to know the information seeking behavior of agricultural scientists. The collected data was analyzed by using latest version of MS Excel. Simple Percentage system and scaling system like rating scales and rank order scales have been used as statistical procedures. The paper discusses the various types of information sources used by agricultural scientists, their preference and frequency. Their degree of dependence on formal and informal sources of information has been found out. It has been tried to find out the effectiveness of existing information systems and their adequacy regarding meeting information needs. The results show that Agriculture Scientists depend to a large extent on institutional libraries to meet their information requirements.
