Abstract
This study was carried out in olive areas of Geyikli region (Çanakkale). For this purpose, three soil profiles representing Geyikli olive fields were examined. The morphological description of 3 soil profiles was made, some physical and chemical analyzes were made on soil samples taken according to the horizon basis and the soil was classified by making evaluations in terms of productivity. According to the results of the analysis, it was determined that the investigated profiles were generally adequate in terms of nitrogen(N) and, phosphorus(P)and potassium(K) contents . Micro element quantities were generally found to be adequate except for zinc (Zn) and iron (Fe). Profile no. 1, profile no. 2 and profile no. 3 were classified as Psamment Haploxeralf, Typic Xerorthents, and Fluventic Haploxerepts, respectively.
