A study on Determination of Cold Storage Features in Çanakkale Province

Abstract
In this study, the cold storages in Çanakalle province has been determined and a survey study has been tried to determine many properties of these storages. Thus, It is intended to convey technical information on cold storage technology by giving information about the existence of cold air depots and possibilities that are included in the research findings made up to day-to-day in our country. As a result of the research, it has been determined that 85.72% of the companies that usually store apple, peach, pear, plum, quince and japanese persimmon are company or cooperative management. It has been found that 85% of workers are workers in cold storage depots where an average of 8.6 personnel falls in a warehouse and in parallel with it has seen that 87% of the personnel are graduated from primary and secondary education. It has been determined that cold storage warehouses with an average 3000 tonnage capacity can use 85% of their capacities and usually use freon and ammonia as refrigerant.
