Abstract
In this study erosion risk of Dümrek basin downstream was estimated with the CORINE methodology. Potential soil erosion and actual soil erosion risk was determined by using soil properties (texture, stoniness and depth) climatic (Fournier precipitation and Bagnouls-Gaussen drought) indexes and land cover data at study area which covers approximately 43.1 km². With the geographic information system (GIS) techniques for each parameter layers were created and result maps were produced. As a result, it was determined that potential soil erosion risk in the study area 66.80% low, 22.25% moderate and 10.95% high, actual soil erosion risk 38.67% moderate, 61.33% high. It was seen that the most important factor which increased the effect of erosion in the study was the slope and land cover.
