Abstract
The study was tested the different traps to determine the adult density of Tropinota hirta (Coleoptera: Cetoniidae), in peach, cherry, apricot and apple orchards in Center, Lapseki, Ezine, Bayramiç district of Çanakkale province, in 2013 and 2014. The aim of this study was to the effectiveness of the blue color sticky, funnel and bowl traps and also an attractant containing trans-anethole+cinamyl alcohol, (1:1) traps in capturing adults. The results showed that adults of T. hirta were captured in the traps on 2 April 2013 and 23 March 2014, at an average temperature of 13°C and 10°C respectively. In both years, the most adults were counted in the traps of peach orchards. It was followed by the adults captured in the cherry, apple and apricot orchards respectively. In addition, the most of T. hirta adults were obtained in the traps of Ezine (Akköy) district. The highest number of beetles were captured by the blue bowl plus water traps with attractant in all orchards.
