Abstract
In the article, different views are discussed of parallel work with parents of children who are involved in the psychocorrection process. Described is the historical background of this trend in psychotherapeutic work, and modern strategies are examined for work with parents within the psychodynamic paradigm.
We present the findings from our research examining aspects of work with parents of adolescents who were involved in psychotherapeutic program because of their negative experiences in relations with parents. This work enables parents to better understand both psychological and age-related characteristics of their children and the children themselves due to separation of their own experiences, fears and worries from the child's one's, thus improving their general state and initiating positive changes in their families.
