Abstract
This research was carried out at research field of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Dardanos Campus. Lactuca sativa L. var. crispa (cv. Arapsaçı, Artemis and Lattughino) were used as plant materials. Plants grown both organically and conventionally and obtained data were compared to each other. Seedlingd planted with 30x40 cm raw spaces and each parcel was 5.6 m2. Seed yield and flower stem height in flowering stage were determined on the plants that are marked before. After seed harvesting seed yield, 1000 seed weight were determined and standart germination tests, were measured on germinated seeds. Conventional grown plants were observed more superior especially on seed yield (8.35g/plant and 9.48 g/plant for organic and conventional varieties respectively) whereas differences between seed yield and tests performed after harvest were found significant. Effects of growing conditions on germination rate (89.67% and 90.33% for organic and conventional varieties respectively) and speed were not statistically significant.
