Abstract

There is discusses the cognitive determination of propensity to superstitions in subdivisions of MES. There is describe a specific activities in difficult, extreme conditions of workers fire units directly divisions MES. Outlined the specifics of firefighters and their socio-cultural features of existence. There is characterized of features of originated marks based on informal rituals in socio-cultural of fire and rescue services, the terms of their appearance, transmission and spreading. We describe the positive and negative aspects of the use of informal rituals and signs in units of fire and rescue services. There is given characteristics of cognitive processes of personality, in particularly their specification when working in extreme conditions. There is presented the results of empirical studies of cognitive determination of predisposition to superstitions in MES. There is given characterization of respondents who participated in the research, their characteristics in terms of propensity to informal rituals and signs. There is discusses differences in cognitive sphere of groups of firefighters (who not exposed to superstitions and who prone to superstitions). There is given argumentation and interpretation of results which obtained through the use of mathematical-statistical treatment of results. Recommendations for the specific of use of the data for future psychological work in the sphere of extreme activities such as MOE.
