Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the effects of 3 different grazing systems on pasture yield in an artificial oats pasture in the ecological conditions of Çanakkale by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Technologic Land Agricultural Research Department in 2009. Oat as plant material and the Turkish Saanen goat as the animal material was used so as to carry out the grazing applications. 9 goats in total were fed for two months on the oat pasture in three different grazing systems (Alternate grazing, Sequential grazing and free grazing). Three goats were used for each type of grazing system. In the study, the highest herbage yield with 535.23 kg/da, the highest amount of grass eaten with 98.11 kg/da and the highest proportion of green grass leaves with 70.22% were obtained from alternate grazing. The highest protein content of leaf with 18.90% were obtained also from alternate grazing
