Abstract

This article analyzes the psychosemantic mechanisms of creative intellectual activity, including two controversial component - intuition and logic. Analysis psychosemantic mechanisms and features of creative thinking allowed to identify its components - semantic convolution, processes of folding and unfolding of meanings, thickening and contraction of thought, conscious and unconscious understanding, and so on. The analysis of these components allowed to identify and show their role at the main stages and levels of the creative process: intuitive and logical, conscious and unconscious. It created prerequisites for a correct understanding of the underlying mechanisms of creativity. Intuitive thinking characterized by certain features that are often lacking in the traditional logical thinking. Concept and other semantic elements to be operated on intuition, are characterized by uncertainty and polysemy. Intuitive thinking is inherent in free transition from one value to another, laid-back combination of values that cannot be combined with viewpoint of traditional concepts. As a result, the new concepts that which constitute the basis of new inventions and hypotheses are formed. New knowledge arises because the metamorphosis taking place with the elements of the old knowledge. This new changes are not follow the laws of formal logic. The creativity often comes contrary to the traditional rules of thought
