Abstract

The article reveals the motivational component in the structure of the serviceman psychological readiness. The motivation of a person is constantly changing due to the fact that it consists not only of motives that are relatively stable entities of the individual, but also of other factors that are quite dynamic. Therefore, motivation is often difficult to see and measure. Often motivation arises in the most unexpected cases, but is absent where it was expected. Motivation determines why and how we work (and whether we work at all), what and why we consume, and more. The article notes that on the one hand, under the motivation is understood a set of external and internal factors that explain the nature of the course and the result of behavior and activities. On the other hand, motivation as a dynamic characteristic of behavior and activity has more or less stable personality characteristics - motives. Motives not only participate in the process of motivation as one of the internal factors, but is also a system or hierarchy that defines the central chain in the structure of the individual - the focus. Motivation occupies the main place in the structure of the activity of servicemen. Unmotivated activities will not bring the desired end result. The motivational component in the structure of psychological readiness should occupy the first place, and it is subject to more detailed study not only by military psychologists, but also by unit commanders too, since the latter take an active part in the combat training of the personnel and are responsible for their moral and psychological state.
