Abstract
The structures are presented and mechano-physical properties of special irons, operating in the conditions of percussive and abrasive wear, and the details working in the conditions of sliding friction between iron and tempered cemented steel are studied. The importance of carbon, manganese, aluminum and other elements in iron and their recommended contents are shown. A specified composition of elements in iron provides the increased crack resistance in combination with increased wear resistance and cutting performance of details so the maintenance costs decrease at the expense of increasing life products.
