THE RECENT TRENDS IN COMPUTER-BASED TESTING

The problem of correct definition and assessment of values of difficulty of tests is considered as the main problem of pedagogical testing in the introduction of the article. The critical analysis of the IRT theory and parametrical models of testing undertaken in the first part shows its inefficiency and internal discrepancy. The new model of testing where the search of the solution of tests is treated as Poisson stochastic process is described in the second part.
