INTERNAL AUDIT IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR OF UKRAINE: CHALLENGES AND PERSPECTIVES

This paper covered both theoretical background and actual status of internal audit in the public sector of Ukraine. Defined main challenges and perspectives towards to developing it, based on best international an EU practices. Gave reason for use internal audit as an effective tool for providing unbiased, objective assessments of whether public resources are responsibly and effectively managed to achieve intended results by public bodies for society needs.
