Abstract
The article is about the main regularities and trends in the world market of air transportation. The analysis showed a high dependence of air transport from macroeconomic factors. The effects of the global economic crisis affected the decline in freight and passenger scheduled airlines, but increased traffic volumes of low cost airlines. We concluded that the global air transport is characterized by a high concentration of regional traffic.
