Abstract
Hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) are among the cheapest and most environmentally friendly ways of generating huge amounts of energy. But for the parallel connection of energy sources it is necessary to observe certain rules. For this purpose a system of group regulation of active power (GRAM) was created. Also, Gram exists to improve the stability of the system in emergency situations.
