Abstract
It is considered that the development of high-performance workplaces provides the improvement of national economy in general as it increases the efficiency of each enterprise in the country. Authors bring up a question of how to develop this indicator in Russia, how it is defined in the countries of the West and Europe, and give several definitions of it.
