Abstract
Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on sharing computing resources rather than having local servers or personal devices to handle application. Cloud computing is a comprehensive solution that delivery IT as a service. It is an internet-based computing solution where shared resources are provided like electricity distributed on the grid electrical grid. On the other hand, Grid is an infrastructure that involves the integrated and collaborative use of networks, databases, computers owned and managed by multiple organizations. Grid computing allows an application to run on different machine and also utilize the grid resources. This paper describes the layered mapping of cloud model with grid model in terms of their services.
