Abstract
Abstract: The main objective is to detect and quantify the standard antioxidant markers in marketed hepatoprotective formulations by HPTLC method using finger print analysis. Results of the study clearly revealed that these six formulations contains flavonoids- quercetin, rutin and phenolic acid category- caffeic acid and gallic acid. The developed HPTLC method can be employed for the routine investigations of well-known free radical scavengers in marketed herbal hepatoprotective formulations. Keywords: Hepatoprotective, Anti oxidant, Caffeic acid, Quercetin, Rutin.
