Abstract
Different extracts of aerial parts of Portulaca oleracea L. were evaluated for their anthelmintic activity on adult Indian earthworms, Pheretima posthuma, among which ethanol extract was found more potent.Their activities are comparable with the reference drug albendazole. The result supports the traditional claims of Portulaca oleracea L. as a powerful anthelmintic.
