Abstract
The article analyses the results of the empiric study on preschool teachers' attitude to their professional activity. The research in form of reflexive text with unfinished sentences studied the respondents' understanding of who professional pedagogue is, what pedagogue's expertise includes. Basing on the responses, the conclusion is made that pedagogues do not consider interaction with children as the main object of professional activity and do not make organization of joint activity with children the first professional priority.
