Abstract
This article considers the actual problem of practical health care – differential diagnosis of herpes infections. The modern aspects of laboratory diagnosis of herpes infection were described. For clarity, the differential diagnosis of herpes infection with a number of diseases (balanoposthitis, streptococcal impetigo, pyoderma chancriform, cystic dermatoses, contact dermatitis, Crohn's disease, Behcet's disease, erythroplasia Keir, fixed erythema, scabies, syphilis) are reflected in the table.
