Abstract
Culture more than language present in the form of communicating vessels: the con- stant everyday communication provides, seemingly, a great opportunity to establish lasting contacts. The purpose of this article is to examine the value of bilingualism in the process of formation of personal culture. The research is based on the novel by A. Makine's "Le testa- ment français"
