The method for optimization multimodal container transportation

This article describes the main problems of the organization of multimodal transportation in Russia. The analysis of the works of scholars engaged and involved in the delivery of goods multimodal way. Identifying the promising direction of development described by the cargo, which is to reduce the size of the car fleet by increasing the volume of container traffic. The models and methods, the algorithm is presented in this article. The authors proposed a method for the development of multimodal transport, in which laid the basis of the logistical approach. The main feature of this approach is the presence of a single multimodal transport operator, which oversees the promotion of material flow within the specified parameters.
