Abstract
The influence of fluid physical properties on the power that is spent on mixing and distribution of liquid is considered. The paper presents the results of experimental studies, which were carried out in a rotary film apparatus with hinged blades. As the treated liquids, water and solutions of 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% glycerol in water were used. On the basis of the obtained experimental data, the power factor was calculated depending on the centrifugal and film Reynolds criterias.
