A WAY TO GO SUSTAINABLE: IDENTIFYING DIFFERENT MEANS & NEED TO GO GREEN IN THE SECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION WORLD

In India, the environmental problems are increasing day by day and year by year due to leading urbanisation. An increase in demands of new residential and commercial buildings is sign of economic development but with this comes an increased consumption of more energy, raw materials and resources and becoming impossible to meet such demands of consumer with increasing population. Preserving India's ecology and finite resources is now more than important. Green building and green revolution in general are growing and has become the preferred model or concept by engineers, government and financial bodies to meet all these issues regarding environment and health issues. Considering all these impacts this paper consists of different Affordable Green construction strategies & technologies, their benefits, affordable construction activities and some alternative materials, and some suggestions to regulatory bodies to achieve Green development and creating “GO GREEN AWARENESS” among people of India.
