Abstract
HES Cement or Type III are uses for concrete applications require increased early strength development. Precast concrete element can be used in HESC. In HESC we need to accelerate the hydration process. Different techniques like accelerator or curing techniques can be used to improve the hydration process. But the accelerated hydration causes rapid evolution of heat. This heat of hydration in huge concrete structures can raise the temperature to a level and result in thermal cracks and even delayed ettringite formation. In hot climates the effect may be even more problematic. We can reduce this problem by using pozzolanas. Use of higher proportions of pozzolanas as a cement replacement in concrete has obvious environmental and performance benefits [1-7]
