Abstract
Post myocardial infarction cardiac rupture is one of the mechanical complications of acute myocardial infarction. It has high mortality rate, and outcome is poor unless treated surgically. The outcome with conservative medical management is extremely poor. Here we report a case of a 68 year old male, with post myocardial infarction ventricular septal rupture who survived with medical therapy alone. This case is reported for the rarity of survival in these cases.
