Cortical venous thrombosis caused by protein C deficiency

Abstract
Here we present a case of young male patient admitted with right hemiparesis and global aphasia. MRI revealed left temporo-parieto-occiptal hemorrhagic infarct with left sigmoid sinus thrombosis. Comorbid conditions and other risk factors were ruled out. Finally tests revealed deficiency of proteinC. Treatment with appropriate medications was done and patient recovered partially.
